Alan Slater - Burns Pet Health Advisor
Alan Slater – is a vet living and working in Norfolk, England. Alan asked me not to list all his initials after his name but I couldn’t resist so here is his full title.
Alan Slater BVMS, MRCVS, DC, DAC, GCC Reg no 01135, DVetHom, DHM, OSDipCTh, MICHT, KFRP
Alan is actively involved in Aurora Holistics Ltd. A centre of holistic excellence based in England treating both human and animal clients. He first qualified in veterinary medicine at Glasgow University in Scotland. Thereafter gaining a Diploma of Chiropractic at McTimoney College of Chiropractic. It was a natural progression to work with animals so Alan studied for a Diploma of Animal Chiropractic at Oxford College of Chiropractic.
Homeopathy was next on the agenda so he studied and gained a Diploma of Veterinary Homeopathy and a Diploma of Homeopathic Medicine. Just to add a little color into Alan’s life he gained a Diploma in Colour Therapy (at Oracle School of Colour) and a Diploma in Creative Kinesiology. There has been no end to Alan’s interest in alternative approaches to health adding various other qualifications. Such as TFH (Touch for Health) Instructor, Perceptual Bodywork Instructor,Certificate in Body Massage and Reiki Master.
In his spare time he is studying for an MSc in medical science and a BSc [Psychology] with the Open University.
Alan lives with wife Mandy and they both organize and run various classes at the weekend in Kinesiology. As you will appreciate Alan is a very busy man who seems to thrive in the field of alternative medicine. Against this background he is a lovely man and although I have only spent a short time in his company I was taken by his lovely demeanor. He did some chiropractic work on me while I was visiting but he told me not to tell anyone it was him who made my groin hurt – so I won’t
